Printed on 1-24-46, this poster features a McDonnell XFD-1 Phantom prototype zooming through the air, with others doing synchronization in the background. This is what we call an “approval” poster. Before mass printing a poster printed by the government must go through an authorization process. They were backed on linen (yes, even back then) as they were to be handled by many people then archived away after being approved or rejected. This poster has a large stamp on the back and 2 on the front that say “This poster OK for use by legal dept.” we can only find one other example of this amazing piece, in the National Air And Space Museum.

Measures 24.75x28” 

Condition- good on old linen, staining, edge wear, slight paper loss at left side, pin holes in corners, small tears.
