A very desirable WWII poster featuring Winston Churchill. Notably absent from this piece is the text which read, “Let us go forward together” at the bottom. The reason is because this poster was shipped to many different allied countries and was printed in other languages. A non-text poster like this would be sent elsewhere for a country to produce it in its own language. This one simply never made it to that process. A rare bird!

MASSIVE 1970s Ringling Brothers And Barnum And Bailey Circus paper billboard. Promoting an upcoming show at the Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis Tennessee. The stage director of the show is advertised to be Richard Barstow, who was with the circus from 1950-1978.

One we have never seen before. Printed by the United States Department of Agriculture, this poster shows the importance of contour farm work for the war effort. Contour farming promoted plowing and planting along the natural curves of the land to save soil, water, and fertilizer. Featuring thunderbolts storming overhead in a victory pattern, while the mighty farmer grows his own victory pattern of food for his country. Simply fantastic.

Extremely rare (only 2 known to exist) anti axis banner showing Hitler getting rocked in the jaw by American war production due to those on the homefront eating right. In 1942, Servel Inc. started “Nutrition in Industry" which encouraged factory workers to eat a proper balanced diet to increase war production. They expanded this effort outside of their company with a campaign advertising the “victory lunch”, educating restaurants, local schools, and other factories on what to eat. Several posters, flyers, pins and placemats were produced to promote this campaign, including this banner, which was hung in the Servel factory. It was then rolled up, shoved in an attic and forgotten about. The ultimate homefront item.

Condition- very good, tiny stains, two small tears and one puncture up top, all repaired with acid free archival tape on verso. Also some brown paper on verso, does not affect front image at all.
An extremely rare Vietnam era poster warning servicemen of shady women overseas. VD was a huge problem during the war, with servicemen visiting prostitution hubs near major ports. This poster warned servicemen of the dangers of contracting disease after sleeping with locals while off duty. The poster also has a sign that reads “Chieu Hoi” which translates to “Open arms”. This was a tactic by the U.S. and South Vietnam to obtain detractors from the Viet Cong. However some women who were not detractors used it as a ploy to get Americans and southern Vietnamese to lower their guard and then have them contract a disease, or worse. Not a single museum or national archive has one on file. One other examples known in a private collection. Poster was obtained by a Vietnam war veteran who obtained it from his troop medical clinic in 1972 at Fort Indian Town Gap. The poster was printed in 1969.

The only WWII poster ever produced acknowledging the Tuskegee Airmen. Rare with only one fold line instead of the usual standard 6 factory fold lines. The purpose was to help sell war bonds and the Modle for the poster was Robert W. Deiz. RARE, does not come up often.

This fantastic WWI poster features a mounted unit with artillerymen along side him. Printed for H.M. Stationery Office by Messrs. Fosh & Cross, Ltd., London. We cannot find a single other example of this rare poster, not even the Imperial War Museum has a copy.

An extremely rare WWI British poster for the Royal Air Force. This particular poster was to help recruit carpenters for building planes and encourages those interested to sign up at 4 Henrietta St. Covent Garden, in London.

An extremely rare WWI poster by the American Library Association for sending books to the Yanks in Germany. Specifically asking for citizens on the homefront to take good live fiction books to their local library for immediate shipment overseas. They specifically ask for “good” books as many would send their less than desirable books which quickly became a problem for the boys fighting for freedom. RARE, we only know of 3 other example of this poster in existence. One in Poster House NYC, one in the Library of Congress and one more in a private collection.

Possibly the rarest of all WWI Canadian recruitment posters. Calling for the urgent need of skilled mechanics for the Imperial Royal Flying Corps, and to apply at the armories. Featuring an epic dog fight in the sky with a Nieuport 23 C.1 taking down the a Fokker Dr.1, with another in pursuit in the background. We cannot find a single other original example of this incredibly rare poster.

An absolutely brutal poster from WWI encouraging men to enlist in order to protect the women and children of the world. Shows a women and child who have succumbed to the brutality of the hun.

Rare Army recruitment poster from WWI. Printed in 1918 by Edwin De Laing, this beautiful artwork shows two doughboys attacking the enemy in a trench with aircraft and the American flag overhead. Simply amazing.

An amazing WWI poster by Wrigley’s Gum. Featuing their mascot firing gun packets to the men fighting in the trenches while encouraging those on the homefront to buy liberty bonds. We cannot find a single other example of this poster anywhere. The Smithsonian, Imperial War Museum and the Hoover Institute which has the greatest war poster collection on earth all do not have a copy.

The extremely rare larger version of the ever famous Churchill quote “Never was so much owed by so many to so few". This quote was in reference to the Battle of Britain which took place in October 1940. Winston Churchill was delivering a speech to the UK parliament and giving his praise to the RAF. The only other known larger example of this poster is in the Imperial War Museum.

One of the absolute greatest posters we have ever come across. We have never seen nor can find another of these ones anywhere. An anti axis WWII poster promoting scrap drives, notably for metal and rubber, to help defeat the enemy. Shows two young boys hurling a pot at the enemy. The artist behind the poster is William Steig, who famously created the Dreamworks Character Shrek. Shrek 2 was named in his honor just after his death. Stieg also famously wrote for the New Yorker starting in 1930.

An extremely rare, and to our knowledge the only one that’s ever come up for sale, Disney poster staring Donald Duck in “Sea Salts”. The story follows Mac Beetle who tells the story of the time he and Donald Duck were survivors of a shipwreck in 1926. The story involves how Donald cheats Mac out of food, both on the raft and the deserted island they land on. Despite this, they were rescued and became life-long friends, showing them in their old age together. This poster is from 1949. Own a piece of Disney history, and probably be the only one with it.

One of the rarest of all Disney posters from WWII. Only 3 examples are known to exist. One in the Disney Family Museum, another in a private collection, and this one. This Disney short, staring Donald Duck, is all about how your income taxes help destroy the axis! No one likes taxes, but during WWII, they were vital to supply our military with the armament to help us in the war. This movie shows American might destroying the enemy, all thanks to income taxes.

The only one known to exist! A grim anti-war poster printed by One Block West Production of St. Paul, Minnesota circa 1970. A morbid take on the famous “I Want You” poster by James Montgomery Flagg. We cannot locate a single other example of this rare poster anywhere.

One of our most historic acquisitions ever. Dorie Miller, one of the many hero’s of Pearl Harbor proudly stands with his navy cross for his bravery during the attack. This poster was to be displayed in black communities to persuade black Americans to join the war effort. This poster was unrecorded until 2012 when one was discovered in an attic and was later sold for over $20,000. There are only 6 known examples of this poster. Beyond scarce. Our price will be much more affordable.

Possibly the rarest of all Stetson posters from WWII. “Keep it under your Stetson” was a very famous anti-espionage saying during the war. It caught on so well that Stetson Hats decided that they didn’t even need to have their product (the hat) in the posters. We have only been able to local one other example of this rare poster featuring a lingering German Sub that just shot at a now sinking US ship.

The late George Theofiles, my mentor in vintage posters and the first ever dealer in the market, describes the “Enlist” poster by Fred Spear as "Without a doubt the rarest and most elusive of war posters produced in the United States". This poster references the sinking of the Lusitania, when a German U-boat torpedoed and sank the ship which resulted in the loss of almost 1,200 people, including 123 Americans.

The absolute best anti axis carnival punks we've ever come across. During WWII, carnivals and circuses were allowed to operate as they were a good source for war bond sales and much needed entertainment for the public in such dire times. Some carnivals would make punks and other targets resembling the axis leaders so citizens can take their anger out on them. Most were so beat up from over use, they were discarded, or simply painted over into something else after the war, making existing examples near impossible to find.
Measuremens: Adolph is 21" tall, Mussolini is 20” tall, Tojo is 18” tall. Sold as a set only.
Condition: Excellent, some staining and wear from use. new bases have been made for display purposes.

The holy grail of Douglas Aircraft posters. This was hung in the administrative offices of Douglas aircraft for about 3 weeks then replaced with another poster. It’s one of the most well known anti axis posters to come out of WWII but an original has never come up for sale ever.

About this poster:
Der Fuehrer’s Face was Disney’s award winning and most famous movie to come out of WWII. Originally titled “Donald Duck In Nutziland”, the movie was later renamed after the song for the film, which came out beforehand, and had enormous popularity. Only 3 copies of the poster are known to exist. one at the Walt Disney Family Museum. another sold at auction years ago and had several condition issues with a large amount of paper loss.
