Extremely rare WWI poster for the “Eyes For The Navy” campaign. This was to encourage donations of binoculars, telescopes and spy glasses which were in very short supply during the First World War. The man in charge of this campaign was non other than future president Franklin D. Roosevelt who was Assistant Secretary Of The Navy at the time. If you donated to this campaign, you were given $1 and the promise of a returned item of it was possible.
