One Swine Too Many Anti Axis Goering Pig
One we have never seen before! An American (or Canadian) WWII poster featuring Goehring as a pig and a Hollander with a knife about to make some bacon! It speaks of a German plan to tell the Dutch to destroy calves as it would steal milk from their children. A plan that they knew would diminish thier food supply and didn’t fall for. Holland stayed neutral during the war, but this poster showed what many of them believed, that they’d rather have calves than an axis swine! Very little can be found about this poster or its story, however we have located only a single other example, in the Canadian War Museum.
Measures 20x30”
Condition- very good on linen- restored small tears along left side, NO PAPER LOSS, Small pen writing on pigs butt has been shaded out.
