Pax Britannica Anti British Italian Poster of John Bull
Extremely rare and to our knowledge the only one that has ever become available for sale. This is an anti British Italian poster “Pax Britannica" by G. Bertoletti. Printed in 1943 and was printed in Italy. We have discovered one other example in the Imperial War Museum, that’s it! It features caricature of John Bull as an octopus jamming his tentacles into the earth insinuating world domination.
Measures about 19.5x27.5”
Condition- professionally restored on linen. Bottom right corner has been restored, as well as areas along the right hand side into image and near the monsters hat. Overall good condition, you will never see another.
