Extremely rare WWII sugar rationing poster. Sugar was the very first food item to be rationed in the United States due to the war. Several merchant ships for sugar were sunk by U-boats and in the Pacific half of the merchant ship’s transporting sugar were diverted to war related matters. The availability of sugar was cut by 1/3 in 1942. We have never had a sugar rationing poster before and this is the only example we can find.
