Interesting Uncle Sam ceramic figure made in occupied Japan shortly after WWII. The U.S. led the allies in the occupation of Japan from 1945-52. They enacted widespread military, political and social reforms. Sometime during these reforms, they started to make pro-American novelties such as this. The picture is not great with the text being so small, but at the bottom it says “made in occupied Japan”.
