One of a kind historic item from the National War Poster Competition held by the Museum Of Modern Art, 1942. The purpose of this competition was to have posters created to boost morale for the war. Artists were asked to choose between 8 themes. Production, War Bonds, The Nature Of The Enemy, Loose Talk, Slave World Or Free World, The People Are On The March, Deliver Us From Evil, and Sacrifice. Only 9 winners were chosen, and this example, not one of the winners, was never printed into a poster. They were judged anonymously. Other than the 9 winners of the competition, all art works were discarded by the MOMA in the 1980s. Only 6 of these art works are still known to exist, this is one of them. Charcoal on artistry board.

Condition- some water stains at edges. Otherwise excellent.
