Anti Axis Douglas Aircraft Blue Prints
One in a series of conservation posters produced by Douglas Aircraft during WWII. Printed to hang in the administrative and corporate offices of Douglas Aircraft factories for 3-4 weeks then were discarded. This particular poster, created by artist Jack Campbell, was printed to encourage employees to handle blue prints properly and not damage them, which would in turn slow down production for the war effort. The series was known as the Illustrated “parts” catalog. Another poster from this same series, “waste helps the enemy” sold for $5,000 at Swann Auctions. I was the consigner. We cannot locate a single other example of this rare poster.
Measures- 17x22”
Condition- excellent
