An incredibly rare Italian WWI poster which translates to “Subscribe to the Loan". Showing a female figure draped in the Italian flag holding a sword toward a Nordic warrior approaching over a bloody mountain range. The Nordic warrior represents the Central Powers, who the Allies were fighting during the conflict. This is very similar to the most coveted WWI poster “Destroy This Mad Brute” which is an American poster, and was printed the same year, 1917. That poster features a monstrous gorilla, rather than a Viking. We can only locate 2 other examples of this rare poster, one in the Library Of Congress and another the in the Hoover Institute.

Measures 27.5x39.25”

Condition- Excellent on linen, some small areas professionally restored along the right side, repaired tear and small restored loss on left side.
